Meet Your Hosts

Many families have a life story to share with others. Kim & Conroy Schelhaas, along with their 3 children, all of Dutch descent, have dedicated their lives to family, church, schools, the Stratford Community, and mission work to the Haitian immigrants living in the Dominican Republic for over 30 years. They bring a lifetime of professional and volunteer experience to their creative hospitality at the Forest Motel.

 

Conroy has 30 years of experience as a general contractor, new home builder, interior/exterior designer and master tradesman. Kim has 28 years of experience in teaching, piano and music, voice, and five languages.

 

Their two grown sons have begun careers in Engineering & Commerce/Restaurant Management while their daughter is working on a Masters in Social work, and has a  Communications Degree with a minor in Youth Ministry.

 

Together, our passion is to serve in the people business. We are delighted to share this place with you and invite you to check us out.
